ILP- Participation "Lynda.com Tutorial"

For my Participation Independent Learning Project, I decided to choose a Lynda.com Tutorial. My course was about Teacher Techniques on Classroom Management. In my Voice Thread I talk about the main points, I learned in the course and how to manage a classroom successfully in an active learning style. Below I have attached the voice thread

  1. Many of these techniques I never would have thought of as a necessary skill you would need! Good job at explaining them too!!

  2. Hello Samantha,
I really enjoyed your voicethread as it was very informative. I never used or explored Lynda.com before your voice thread. After watching and listening to your voicethread, I learned how much of resource Lynda.com is. I now know that I can learn a lot from Lynda.com, as i learned much from you.

  3. Hey Sam,
Your voicethread was so well put together! It was so visually pleasing. I have a few teachers back home who could benefit from taking the same Lynda.com tutorial that you did!

ISTE Computational Thinker Resource

The standard that I chose helps children develop their problem solving skills with using technology methods; so I decided to find a website that had many different math games because this deals with algorithmic thinking. When I was in elementary and middle school I loved when we would go to the computer lab and get to choose what games we play because it gave me freedom to have fun while learning. I feel like finding a website that has a lot to choose from makes this process of Computational Thinking fun for the kids who don't like problem- solving or Math in general. Also this website offers Preschool to 5th grade, so as the students advances the games do as well! I have attached the link below to the website I found that has many different games that your students can play! Math Games
