A few skills I learned from working with Diigo was the formatting, editing, and sharing of certain websites on Diigo. I personally would not use this resource in my classroom because I find the commenting and organizing too confusing for teachers and students to communicate and share information. If I would use this resource in my classroom I would have it to show my class the important quotes and sections of articles by using the highlight feature on Diigo. Also using Diigo in my individual professional efforts, I could use this resource while finding quotes from my sources for papers that I write for my college classes.

The first level of Bloom's Taxonomy is to remember; which is to recall facts and basic concepts. So I could use PowerPoint and make a vocabulary lesson; then have a review lesson at the end and have the students calling out the words with fill in the blank. The second level of Bloom's Taxonomy is understand; which is to explain ideas or concepts. On Powerpoint I could have a slide about discussion questions and make the students talk with their groups  about where they have heard the vocabulary word before and what the words mean before actually going over the definition. The third level is to apply; which is to use information in new situations. I could have the words on a Powerpoint slide and using a SmartBoard the students have to circle which words their group will put in a sentence. The fourth level is analyze; which is to draw connections among ideas. I could make a slide on Powerpoint and insert images of the vocabulary and the students have to drag the word to which picture is correct. The fifth level is evaluate; which is to justify a stand or decision. This level could be used in Powerpoint with my discussion questions because I could also include argumentative questions about when these words should be used in sentences. Lastly, the sixth level is create; which is produce new or original work. So tying back with the vocabulary lesson, I would break the students into different groups and give them a certain amount of vocabulary words and laptops. They would then have to create a story and present it on PowerPoint.

Attending Educational Technology conferences can be helpful for teachers to stay involved with the latest technology. So I found a blog that had ten EdTech conferences that teachers should attend if they want to get ahead with the newest and best technology for their students. Many famous developers of educational technology speak at these events, like the founder of Khan Academy will be speaking at the Florida EdTech Conference in January. I feel like being able to see the new developing technology face to face it gives teachers a true understanding of the best technology to use in their own class room.

A flipped classroom is when the information and material are offered online and out of class to the students, so when the teacher is available there are more activities to review and share their questions about the material. There are many issues about this instructional design because it limits the children who do not have technology at home and also struggle learning material on their own. Also, the teacher may move ahead in their lesson plan and a student may have not been able to look over the previous information because they do not have access to technology at home. Open Educational resources are any materials for teaching or learning that are available for no cost at all. These resources are very helpful for teachers because they are able to find new lesson plans and ways to use technology in the classroom. Also, anyone is able to access these resources for educational purposes. I found an article online that explains what OER materials are, ho...

ISTE Computational Thinker Resource

The standard that I chose helps children develop their problem solving skills with using technology methods; so I decided to find a website that had many different math games because this deals with algorithmic thinking. When I was in elementary and middle school I loved when we would go to the computer lab and get to choose what games we play because it gave me freedom to have fun while learning. I feel like finding a website that has a lot to choose from makes this process of Computational Thinking fun for the kids who don't like problem- solving or Math in general. Also this website offers Preschool to 5th grade, so as the students advances the games do as well! I have attached the link below to the website I found that has many different games that your students can play! Math Games
